DUST REGULARLY:
° Use a soft, lint-free cloth or microfiber duster to remove dust from the surface of your wood furniture. Dusting regularly prevents buildup that can scratch or dull the finish over time
° Use Mild Soap and Water:
° Mix a few drops of mild dish soap with warm water. Dampen a soft cloth with the soapy mixture, then wring it out well so it’s only slightly damp.
° Wipe down the surface gently, following the wood grain to avoid streaking.
° Immediately dry the surface with a clean, dry cloth to prevent water spots and warping.
POLISH WITH A WOOD CLEANER:
° Use a wood-specific cleaner or polish to restore the shine and protect the finish. Apply the product with a soft cloth, using circular motions to buff the wood to a nice sheen.
° Avoid using silicone-based polishes, as they can create a residue that attracts more dust.
CLEAN STAINS CAREFULLY:
° For water spots or heat marks, apply a bit of non-gel toothpaste mixed with baking soda. Gently rub it on the stain with a soft cloth, then wipe clean with a damp cloth.
° For more stubborn stains, use a small amount of mineral spirits, but always test in an inconspicuous area first.
AVOID HARSH CLEANERS:
° Never use ammonia, bleach, or abrasive cleaners on wood surfaces. These can strip the finish or cause permanent damage.
PROTECT FROM HEAT AND SUNLIGHT:
° Keep wood furniture out of direct sunlight to prevent fading and warping.
° Use coasters, trivets, and placemats to protect the surface from heat and moisture.
